October 28, 2006- Sizemore closes the 2006 season with another strong run. The last race of the 2006 season was a little different format giving the Super Bombers two six lap heat races to set the field for the feature. This format proved to be helpful to the 20 team that didn't have the same luck of the draw that they had in previuos weeks. Sizemore started dead last in the second heat racebut didn't stay there long coming up to finish third behind Roy Patterson and Kenny Taylor. This finish set the 20 team for a sixth starting spot in the feature. In the feature, we saw Patterson experience early engine trouble as the 77 of Joey Kendall jumped out to a strong lead from the pole starting position. It didn't take long for Sizemore to pick his way through the field and make his way into the second position with a strong run to the outside of Guy Adams on a restart. Sizemore then began to work on the leader in the 77, Joey Kendall. Sizemore got a few good runs to the bottom of the 77 but could not make it work as the 77 took the win. "I think we had a great run tonight, I gave it all I had. The car just wasn't good enough off the corners. I have to give all the credit to Joey Kendall who drove a great race. He was as smooth as I have ever seen him. He has come a long way. He will be hard to beat next year. His strong run shows us we better work on our stuff this winter, no time to rest.", Sizemore said.
October 21, 2006- Another good run for Sizemore, but falls a little short. Sizemore got a lucky draw putting him on the pole for tonights feature but Roy Pattersons luck was a little better with the outside pole draw. "It is great to start on the pole but tonight the best spot in the house was the outside pole. The track was still wet everywhere except for the outside groove.", Sizemore said. When the flag fell, Sizemore struggled to get traction as Patterson drove past on the outside. The 20 and the 17 car pulled away from the rest of the feild and sorted it out on their own. Sizemore got a couple of good runs to pull alongside Roy but could ot complete the pass on the one groove racetrack. Roy Patterson took the victory closely followed by Sizemore.
October 14, 2006- "KT" Taylor tastes victory as Sizemore runs fourth. Kenny Taylor started on pole, took the lead and paced the field for his second win of the year. Sizemore in the 20 car could not make it any further than fourth place as Jamie Newton and Joey kendall battled for second and third.

October 7, 2006- Back in victory lane for the first time as a champion. Chris and the 20 car had to start from the back of the pack Saturday night but the track conditions went their way due to the bottom being the only good racing groove and that happens to be where Chris runs best. On the first lap, everyone in the outside lane crossed up when they fired to take the green opening the door for the 20 to shoot past 3 cars before entering turn one. Sizemore continued picking off cars throughout the green flag laps and on restarts with 4-5 cautions during the race. The final caution fell on lap 11 when Sizemore had made it to second place behind the 77 of Joey Kindall. On the ensuing restart, Sizemore was able to get the nose under the 77 coming to take the green and get a good run down the front straight away taking the lead going into turn one. The 20 was not challenged over the final 3 laps taking the checkered. “I really just have to thank the key people that are with me every single week. My best friend and crew chief Chris “Mig” Migliaro, my wife and kids and my dad. These five people are my support to keep me getting back to victory lane,” Sizemore said. “We will be back next week to see if we can do it again”.

September 9, 2006- Goal set...Goal met. Team Z-Ty Racing is the "2006 Super Bomber Champion".
"I have to say thanks to all of the ones that helped us meet this goal. My wife Heather, kids Ty and Toni, my Dad, Chris Migliaro, Paul Renard, Stacy Blackwell, Thomas Bishop with Advance Power Systems, Randy and Wayne McConnel, John and David Brandenburg and Ron Mixon with Woodstock Brands Beer, Roy and Todd Searcy with Jim's Auto Sales, Mike D'Amico, Brett Larson, Roytec Industries and Kenny Taylor," said Sizemore.

We also congratulate Kenny and Leann Taylor and the entire Taylor Race Team for their first win Saturday night at Dixie Speedway. Great job Kenny! There will be plenty more to come.

September 2, 2006- It was another GREAT night at the races for the number 20 Team as they did their part to honor the memory of the best racer that Dixie has ever been home to, Bill Ingram.
Chris started in the pole position tonight and never looked back; picking up the lap 9 bonus in honor of Bill Ingrams #9 and the Memorial Winners Bonus put together by Jerry Fowler and his wife.
"I need to thank the Fowlers and Gloria Ingram for putting this program together as well as everyone that contributed; Jerry Fowler Plumbing, T&T Plumbing, Pat Bass Electric, Wayne McConnel, Benny Croft Heating and Air, Tony McDowell Backhoe, John Binger and Grand Slam Pizza, Allatoona Towing, Gary Ledford Landscaping, Scottie Pritchett, Frank Ingram, Bobby Tucker and Scott Darnell Grading. I know that all of these people cared a lot about Bill and contributed in his memory in this way because he cared about racing and racers."
This performance knotted the points battle up at a dead heat going into tomorrow nights race at Rome Speedway.

August 26, 2006- “We had an awesome victory tonight at Dixie Speedway. It was a total team effort getting this car ready to go this week. Chris Migliaro and Paul Renard were at the shop working on the car all they could. We had this car running on rails for 15 laps. It was just about as perfect as you can ask for,” said Sizemore following the runaway victory Saturday night.
Sizemore started on the inside of row three just in front of the points leader Tom Cleghorn in the 119 car. When the green went down Sizemore went to the inside of Daniel Vineyard coming off of turn two to take second place. On lap two, the 20 was put to the bottom again entering turn one and took the lead from Joey Kendall in the middle of one and two. Sizemore then pulled nearly a straight-away lead over the next 13 laps to take the victory over Tom Cleghorn who had a strong run in second. The rest of the top five was Joey Kendall, Kenny Taylor and Tony McDowell. The strong run tightened the points championship battle even more going into the final three races, putting the Z-Ty Racing team just 10 points behind the leader Tom Cleghorn.

August 19, 2006- It was a good night at the races that was very close to being great. The 20 car was lined up to start the race inside the second row behind the pole sitter and points leader Tom Cleghorn but a false start by the 119 of Cleghorn caused a shuffle between the first two rows putting Sizemore in the pole slot. On the second attempt to get the race underway we saw the 20 of Sizemore pull a couple car length lead over the second place car of Cleghorn. Sizemore lead with no challenge from the field until the caution flew on lap ten. Following the caution, it appeared that Tom may have been a little over anxious and fired too soon, causing the front two cars to go into turn one door to door with Tom gaining the lead off of two. “I felt that I got jumped a little on the restart taking away the advantage that the leader should have on the restart. Tom didn’t do anything wrong, all smart racers take any advantage that they can get away with. It is up to the track officials to uphold the rules put in place.” Tom took the victory over Chris, extending his overall points lead over second place Roy Patterson (-10 points) and third place Sizemore (-14 points).
August 12, 2006- A promising night at Dixie turned ugly quickly. Sizemore started way back in the tenth position while points leader Keith Morton started on the front row tonight. It only took Chris three laps to make it into the second slot right behind the leader Morton. It all came unraveled on lap five when the field went back green following a caution. Sizemore said, “I was really feeling confident with the car tonight, it was extremely fast and I had made up a lot of ground in a hurry. When we went back green after the caution, the 49 checked up more than I expected going into one, I got into the back of him and accidentally turned him around. When he spun around he just decided that he would ruin a lot of cars, so he carried me up the track into the wall. If it wasn’t for that little temper tantrum we would have all made it through without damage. It is just irritating to race with someone for five years without any contact at all and the first accident he reacts in such a ridiculous way. But I’ll be back next week to try to make up the lost ground in the points.”
The bad night dropped the 20 team to fourth in the overall points standings behind Tom Cleghorn, Roy Patterson and Keith Morton.

July 29, 2006- Woodstock,GA. Heavy rains poured over Dixie Speedway just after the start of the evenings racing program on Saturday night July 29. After waiting for over an hour for showers to subside track officials were forced to postpone the "Carl Black Outlaw Sprint Car Nationals" until Saturday Night Sept 9.
Fans holding rain checks may use them on Saturday night Sept 9 for full value or use them any Saturday night in the month of August on lower priced events with no refund in the difference of gate price.
Twenty Two of the nation's fastest Outlaw Sprint Cars were in the pits waiting to roll when the rain started. They will all be back plus many more, as the field is still open, on Saturday night Sept. 9 to contend for National points and over $30,000 in total prize money.
All the local Stock Car divisions will re draw for their positions on Saturday night August 5 for the Full Racing Program including Super Late Models and Econo Bomber Championships.
July 23,2006- It looked like we were going to get rained out for the second week in a row at Dixie Speedway but the officials held out as long as possible before they made a decision on the nights events. At about 7:30 the rain stopped and the cars were sent onto the track.
The track was in very poor condition for racing but the green flag dropped anyway with a good friend and mentor, Randy McConnell, heading the field while we started eighth and teamate Kenny Taylor, who drew poorly for the second straight race, brought up the tail of the field. Early in the race we dropped toward the back of the pack while racers scrambled for track position on a one groove race track. After two cautions the groove began to widen slightly and we started movoing toward the front. By lap seven we had made it into the top five and got help from the many cautions which brought double file restarts that gave us the oportunity to make up more ground on the leaders. Around lap twelve we had made it to third position when the final yellow of the race fell. I was able to restart on the inside of the second row when Sammy Ballard chose the high side. When the green went down I was able to drive off into turn one, get the car to turn and get back in the gas quicker than Sammy whch put me into second just a couple car lengths behind the leader McConnell. McConnell was able to maintain the lead for the win, we finished second, Guy Adams third followed by Kenny Taylor in fourth.
It turned out to be a good points night for us on the "Overall Points" front but not quite as good for the "Second Leg" finale. We went into the evening needing to make up sixteen points on the second leg points leader, Keith Morton, to overtake him for the second leg points title. It was a longshot but not impossible. We were able to gain twenty points by finishing second but it wasn't enough due to the 49 car earning eight points with his eighth place run, leaving us just four points short. But we were able to jump from fourth to first in the overall points due to the good run while the three cars of Tom Cleghorn, Keith Morton and Roy Patterson experienced problems.

July 16,2006- The 20 team had a good night at the big half mile Rome Speedway Sunday. Sizemore started on the second row behind Daniel Vineyard and to the inside of Roy Patterson and Keith Morton. It took a lap and a half to take the lead and then the 20 car set sail pulling a straight away lead before the first yellow fell on lap seven. From lap seven to lap twelve the field struggled to make it a lap without a caution. Through all of the yellow flags Sizemore maintained the lead while the 119 of Tom "Slick" Cleghorn worked his way toward the front of the pack. When the caution fell again on lap twelve Tom was running third which allowed him to restart on the inside of the second row when Roy Patterson, running second, chose the outside. When the green went back in the air Tom drove in the corners deep on the bottom while the 20 stayed wound up on the high side. The final three laps were a battle between the top two cars. On the final lap Tom held a slight lead through the center of turns three and four when Chris made his final charge on the high side off of four. When the checkers fell, the 20 car had lead twelve laps but failed to lead the final lap by no more than two feet. "The car was really handling on the top side, about the best my car has ever been here", Sizemore said. "The track was rough but just tacky enough to give two good grooves, and that second groove allowed Tom a lane to give us a race. If track conditions were typical that never would have happened. Great race with another great driver. My hats off to Tom. I look forward to giving him, Keith and Roy a run for the championship the rest of the year."
July 15, 2006- Pontoon boats would have been more appropriate than race cars as heavy rains flooded the Dixie Speedway shortly before race time on Saturday Night July 15 and rained the program out. The evening of events will now be rescheduled for Satuday Night July 22 and will include the Full Racing Program plus for the first time ever, Double Demolition Derbies for the 4 cylinders and the Big Cars. All rain checks from Saturday night July 15 will be honored at full value with no additional charge on Saturday night July 22. - www.whowon.com
July 8, 2006- It was a bad night at Dixie Speedway for the #20 Woodstock Brands Beer Monte Carlo. The car suffered major damage when the torque link broke on the rear suspension ending the night for the Z-Ty Racing team. This equipment failure caused a complete shuffle in the overall points championship totals, vaulting the #49 of Keith Morton into the lead while Sizemore drops all the way to fourth.
However, it was a good night for the other half of the team. Teamate Kenny Taylor made a spectacular run from fifth place on the restart, after the first caution, to second place in one lap. Moving by the fourth, third and second place cars on the high side. On the next lap, he saw leader Sammy Ballard slide up the track in the center of one and two and Taylor made his move to the bottom taking over the lead. After pulling away by almost a straight away the handling of the #5 began to go away. Randy Tatum made up the ground and passed Kenny on the bottom snatching the victory from the #5 team. "I messed up, began over driving the car and just gave this race away", Taylor said. "But we are still learning how to run up front with such a good car, we will get there soon".
July 3, 2006- Super Bomber action saw Randy Tatum in victory lane with Kenny Taylor second and Sammy Ballard third. Fourth spot went to Chris Sizemore and Tom Cleghorn fifth. His fourth place run at Rome Speedway boosts Sizemore to 1st in overall points, and only 4 points shy of the lead in the 2nd leg of the points championship with four races remaining.
July 2, 2006- Randy McConnell overcame four caution flags to finish ahead of fellow Canton driver Chris Sizemore and Woodstock's Kenny Taylor in the Super Bomber feature in Dixie's Independence Day program. Although McConnell didn't have any difficulties with his car, he did have to deal with four caution flags.
Still, he overcame the stoppages to pick up his third win of the year at the 3/8-mile clay bank racing oval in Woodstock. After he came from his fourth-place starting position to take the lead from Sizemore in lap 7, he had little trouble finishing the race ahead of the rest of the field.
"It was special," McConnell said of his win. "We started up front, which helped us out. The guy who finished second, Chris Sizemore, is a very good friend of mine, and I was lucky to get by him."

June 24, 2006- Tonights racing schedule was shortened by rain in the area but not short enough. Rain was threatening when the Super Bomber field took the track. The 20 car started the race on the outside of row five with many fast cars being up front with the 5 of Kenny Taylor starting on pole and the 49 of Keith Morton starting in row two. In the first lap Chris dropped a couple spots to twelth position before he found his groove and serged toward the front. Within five laps he had made it to fifth position and was battling with Randy McConnell and Tony Beck. On lap eight Sizemore went to the inside of Beck while McConnell put his ride to the high side. Sizemore was on Beck's inside quarter panel coming off of turn four when Beck's drive shaft broke shooting him down the track right on top of the 20 car. Sizemore rode the 16 of Beck nearly to the inside wall before coming to a rest. Before the carnage of the 20 car was removed from the track the rain came, which gave Morton his first victory of the year followed by Kenny Taylor.

June 17, 2006- Tonight Chris Sizemore and the Z-Ty Racing team scored their first victory of the year. Chris started on the outside pole and jumped out to an early and substancial lead. After leading the first eight laps a caution fell on the race which tightened the feild with a double file restart. When the green flag flew to go back racing the lead was not challenged for the remainder of the race. Keith Morton of Mabelton finished second followed by Sammy Ballard of Dallas. Sizemore stated after the race, "We got a little luck on our side tonight with a good draw that allowed us to start on the front row. I knew if we could jump out front it would be difficult to get around us." Tonights victory puts Sizemore in the lead for the second leg of the points championship and second in the overall points battle.
